Introduction:

Introduction: AIDS RIDE 2014 is a continuity in connectivity of past 19th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2012) in Washington DC, USA and ensuing 20th International AIDS Conference (AIDS 2014) in Melbourne, Australia, in July 2014, using bicycle marathons between them, either complete bike ride or local bike rides based up on the geographic conditions! AIDS Ride has been organized by BCARE International and its supporting partners. Since the inception of the AIDS RIDE, the bike marathon has been an Affiliated Independent Event of periodical International AIDS Conferences convened! And now affiliated with 20th International AIDS Conference, Melbourne, Australia.

BCARE's World AIDS Day 2013

New Delhi & Hyderabad, 1st December 2013

History of AIDS Ride:

The 2 HIV/AIDS activists from BCARE India, Surya Prakash Makarla and Giri Kumar Makarla discovered an amazing couple from Canada who are crazy & hard core bikers, whilst attending the 16th International AIDS Conference, Toronto! They travel from one country to another in search of "The Best Beer"! Our union elucidated the bike ride BCARE's AIDS RIDE for a noble cause like HIV/AIDS! Thus, BCARE in association with partners across North & Central America attempted cross continent bike rides to connect the biggest International AIDS Conferences! AIDS RIDE 2008 was planned between the two biggest International AIDS Conferences, AIDS 2006, Toronto and AIDS 2008, Mexico City, Mexico! Ewa & Bart dropped the idea due to family and health reasons but they made great efforts in organizing and supporting AIDS RIDE 2008. Further, the spirit was carried forward by the Indian activist brothers, who started riding bike with only 50 Canadian Dollars in the pockets after buying bikes for 140 Canadian Dollars from Craigslist, Canada, landing first time in North America & Central America to spread the message about HIV/AIDS completely on bicycle, all the way from Toronto, Canada to Mexico City! The impulse created was carried forward from one conference to the another as AIDS RIDE 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014......
